I don’t know if it’s due to our supposed superior intelligence, cleverness, intellect or some other factor but I often find myself wondering if the species homo-sapien has devolved over the last century. Overall, we are not as hardy as our ancestors. We are weaker, fatter and more susceptible to disease despite our spectacular improvements [...] I’m sure most people don’t watch (or not watch) television commercials as I do. I generally mute them so at least my ears aren’t assaulted. I’d blank the screen to protect my eyes if I had some means of knowing when the program was back on (not that I’d really miss anything). All those chain restaurants [...] Which of the seven deadly sins—sloth, greed, lust, gluttony, anger, envy, and pride—are you most likely to commit? Out of the seven, probably sloth. I’m not ambitious enough for greed, my lustful days are behind me, and I’ve become too health concious for gluttony. Anger subsides quickly. I don’t have time for envy and my self-esteem [...] |
